In Full Effect

Alright so I feel like I need to address and answer a few of the questions I've been receiving about my blog lately
  1. Why did you title your blog Ghetto Children? - "Ghetto Children" is the typical stereotype in my opinion of Urban Fashion. It represents our culture through styles, threads and new trends.
  2.  Who are you to critique fashion? -I am a fly individual who views fashion through a lens filled with colorful embellished treasures.
  3. How can I receive a spot on your blog? Easy, just send me a banging picture of you in a popping fit to gale.ryan3@gmail.com and continue to view and comment weekly.
  4. What is Ghetto Children even about? -It is in the eyes of the beholder or the artistic thinker. But basically what ever I feel like blogging/talking about at the moment.
Without further ado I will like to introduce to you..
    The Cat Walkers

My Roommate (photoed below) was having some trouble figuring out what to pair her new boots with. These boots were fierce and EXTRA so I knew her outfit would have to be simple but sexy because thats her style. After rumbling through her closet I decided on her all black body suit, Simple But SEXY. Since she was getting dressed for class we completed her look with her grey and green strip sweater as a cover up...

-Cargo Skinnys are the "happenings" right now!

*TIP*- Military Style doesn't necessarily mean "anything thats green", BUT basically Combat, Ready-for-war, Unique-lishy stylish pieces. You can even pair a pare of army fatigue cargo's with a PINK top! Go For It!

    4.Neutrals and Pastels
    - Neutrals are the plain off brown off white colors. Pastel are softer colors...like grey, white, baby pink, baby blue, you catch my drift right? These colors fall delicately against winters white crisp snow.

    PHOTO SHOOT

I had a mini photo session with my digital camera the other day. I barley use the old thing but I felt like I had to do it. I did a little 10 minute shoot inside of my dorm room, on a plain white wall with two Fashionista's before I headed off to work. Here are the final results...

    Fashion On The Go
I was going for a more VINTAGE look with the shots. Ashely(left) purse set the entire mood for me. Her entire outfit reminded me of the Prada Adds. Everything from her bag up to her ruby red lipstick and square framed glasses. I was getting a vibe from the mid 50's and 60's. It would've been complete if they both were wearing knee length skirts!

There goes that bag again. With its black leather boxed shape, that can be worn as a purse or clutch, finished with a golden strap. Her shirt was more like psychedelic meets bohemian with broad shoulders pads, from URBAN OUTFITTERS. (My New Place of Employment!) Ashely's outfit wouldn't have been complete without her grey leather pumps. I think she had a great taste in colors.

    Material Girl
Raven's outfit blossomed with shimmer screaming "The Fabulous Life"! From her dazzeling necklace, bold gold earrings, to her golden studded purse that transformed into a backpack with two gold and leather straps, then back into a purse with one strap, Bag from RULE-21 *bargain*.  I like her idea of dressing up her jeggings with a floral print boyfriend blazer. Ive always been a fan of the boyfriend look. I own a ton of boyfriend jeans...

A Letter From The Editor (me of course)
I rarely like to include myself in my post because I try to relate to all of my readers lives and interest, not just me. But I do want you all to know who I am. I figure you should all know that I'm very stylish and that my opinions on fashion do matter. Because Fashion is such a board topic I look at it as a form of art, expression, life, culture, a way of living. Some of us eat, breath, and sleep it. While it could be the very last concern to others. Personally, I adore it. I admire it as art gazing upon it from a far, adding my own twist to compliment me and my funky personality.

As you can see there isnt really to much laid back about me. I wear bold colors that stand out and patterns that pop. Colors, COLORS, colors! I love them they always seem to scream at people because I often get the most stares. My entire outfit was a bargain EXCEPT FOR MY SHORES OF COURSE. I told you all I'm all about the clunk with the chunky. Chunky Wooden heels are my thing!
Shoes- Sued Jeffery Campbell's (I'm really on him HARD right now)
